La Ruta Maya

During 1999 I travelled along the Ruta Maya, a tour taking in the Yucatan area of Mexico, Guatemala and Belize. Visiting the Mayan sites of Chichenitza, Uxmal, Tulum, Palenque and Tikal along with visits to Merida, Flores and Antigua before relaxing on the island of Caye Caulker of the coast of Belize.

Chichenitza is located west of Cancun in southern Mexico
